The USA Department of Commerce re-investigated cold rolled steel imports from six countries (Brazil, UK, India, China, South Korea and Japan). After the investigation, the Ministry decided to keep the anti-dumping and compensatory taxes in effect since 2016.
The anti-dumping duties rate for all Brazilian suppliers will be 35.43% for the British, 25.17% for the Indians, 7.60% for the Koreans and 28.42% for the Koreans. The highest taxes were set for Chinese and Japanese products at 265.79% and 71.35%, respectively.
The ministry also extended compensatory duties on cold rolled steel from India, China and Korea for another five years. At the same time, the tax rate for all Indian companies was 10%, and for Chinese - 256.44%.
Korean exporters Hyundai Steel and Posco received individual rates. For them it is 4.04% and 51.80% respectively and for other companies from this country a single rate is 13.19%.
