Tatmetal plans to launch its third galvanizing line in 2024

In 2024, Tatmetal plans to continue its strategic investments without interrupting its momentum, increase its business success and bring the third galvanizing line into operation.

Tatmetal plans to launch its third galvanizing line in 2024

The company focuses on improving its productivity with its support for green production and the use of artificial intelligence-supported digital infrastructure. In the "Turkey's Top 1000 Exporters 2022" report announced by the Turkish Exporters Assembly, Tatmetal ranked 48th in the category of material exports and 59th in the category of materials and services, and rose to 12th place among 90 companies operating in the steel industry.

Planned to be commissioned in 2024, the new galvanizing line will increase the company's annual galvanized sheet production capacity to 1,420,000 tons and will make a significant contribution to its value-added production approach.

Tatmetal also draws attention with its investments in sustainable energy. Through its affiliate company Şule Enerji, Tatmetal will build a wind power plant with an installed capacity of 66 MW and will have the capacity to generate 200 million kilowatt-hours of electricity per year. With this investment, Tatmetal will not only be able to supply its own energy needs through the wind power facility, which is planned to be commissioned in 2024, but will also supply surplus production to distribution companies and reduce 120 thousand tons of carbon emissions.

In addition, the company plans to build a solar power facility in Karabük with an installed capacity of 7.80 MWe, which will generate approximately 13 million kWh of electricity per year. With this investment, Tatmetal aims to become a completely independent company in energy.

Accelerating its digital transformation process, Tatmetal is increasing its competitive advantage in the sector with innovations in advanced planning projects, material planning, product traceability and financial processes. Taking into account information security, the company collects data from the ground with its artificial intelligence-supported systems and carries its success even further with this data. In 2024, it aims to strengthen its digital infrastructure with the Level 3 project that will enable instant communication of all its facilities.
