With the start of the third quarter, traditionally a closed season for the steel market, Taiwan's exports of stainless steel rolled products stabilized and the recent surge in exports to the EU weakened in July.
However, local mills are optimistic, believing that the export market holds more promise as long as they secure orders and maintain deals.
Currently, most factories have enough international orders to maintain production until August. Loyal customers from Japan and South Korea remain key customers, while Southeast Asia offers additional opportunities for growth.
