Taiwan's stainless steel imports experienced a significant drop in April, with total imports reaching nearly 92,000 tons, down sharply by 53% from the previous month. Imports of hot-rolled stainless steel remained stable at around 82,000 tons, little changed from the previous month. However, imports of cold-rolled stainless steel decreased by 33.26% from the previous month to around 6,900 tons.
During the same period, Taiwan's stainless steel exports decreased by 5.42% m-o-m to around 85,000 tons. In particular, hot-rolled stainless steel exports increased by 23.74% month-on-month to 23,000 tons. On the other hand, exports of cold-rolled stainless steel amounted to about 40,000 tons, down 11.93% month-on-month.
