According to the information shared by Taiwan's Ministry of Finance, iron and steel exports decreased by 32 percent year-on-year in June 2023 and were recorded as $1.45 billion. Also in this month, the value of iron and steel imports decreased by 30% year-on-year to $1 billion.
Looking at the period from January to June 2023, the export value of iron and steel fell by 27 percent to $9 billion, while the value of imports fell by 25 percent year on year to $6 billion.
