In April, Taiwan's imports of stainless steel flat rolled products reached around 88,000 tons, down 4.2% from the previous month and 4.8% from April 2023.
However, despite the monthly decline, the overall trend for the January-April period this year was positive, with imports rising by 4.86% year-on-year to around 343,000 tons.
Indonesia and China emerged as major import sources for Taiwan with around 252,000 tons and 54,000 tons, respectively.
Moreover, hot rolled products accounted for 314,000 tons and cold rolled products for 28,000 tons of total imports.
