The Supervisory Board of Swiss Steel Group, one of the world's leading long steel producers headquartered in Lucerne, Switzerland, has announced changes at Swiss Steel, including the proposed appointment of Martin Lindqvist, the outgoing CEO of Swedish steel producer SSAB, to Swiss Steel.
Swiss Steel Group said that in addition to Lindqvist, Alexander Gut and Semperit Holding CEO Karl Haider will be among the candidates to be elected to the board of directors at the general meeting to be held on 23 May.
Sources said that Haider and Lindqvist will be nominated as independent candidates for the board of directors, while Gut will be a candidate representing BigPoint Holding, a shareholder of Swiss Steel.
