Glencore, the Swiss international commodity producer and trader, which owns a chrome joint venture with South African company Merafe Resources, announced its production results for the third quarter of this year.
In the third quarter, Glencore's 79.5% share in total ferrochrome production decreased by 21.3% y-o-y to 873 thousand tonnes.
The company's coal production in the period was 83.9 million tonnes, up 2.4% y-o-y. Especially in the third quarter, Glencore coking coal production decreased by 16.1% y-o-y to 5.2 million tonnes.
The company announced that its coal production forecast for 2023 remains unchanged at approximately 110 million tonnes.
