Sweden’s H2 Green Steel announced that it had signed a 7-year binding agreement to supply near-zero emissions steel to ZF, a global technology company that supplies systems for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and industrial technology. The delivery of near-zero emissions steel would begin in 2026.
ZF can annually process steel with 2.5 million tons of steel. It aims to reach carbon neutrality by 2040.
The agreement is worth EUR 1.5 billion and could reduce carbon emissions by nearly 2.3 million tons compared to the traditional steelmaking process.
