PWO Group has signed a partnership agreement with Salzgitter Mannesmann Stahlservice GmbH to ensure an eco-friendly approach to steel procurement. The company aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions when purchasing steel. Jochen Lischer, Finance Manager of PWO Group, is reported to have stated that they plan to purchase carbon-free steel from Salzgitter from 2026.
He also mentioned their goal to reduce absolute greenhouse gas emissions by 28% by 2030 compared to the base year 2019. Lischer also emphasized that purchasing 'Green Steel' from Salzgitter Mannesmann Stahlservice can reduce the carbon footprint of production by up to 95%, which will help them reach the set targets.
