Steel giant Tosyalı Holding targets $7 billion turnover for the end of the year

Fuat Tosyalı, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tosyalı Holding, announced that they are targeting a turnover of over 7 billion dollars in 2024 by focusing on sustainability and environmentally friendly technology in steel production.

Speaking at the World Economic Forum, Tosyalı shared the company's strategies focused on environmental responsibility and energy efficiency.

Stating that global warming is at the forefront in the steel industry, Tosyalı stated that they provide the world's lowest energy consumption in steel production per ton. Tosyalı announced that they have the world's largest rooftop solar power plant as the fruit of investments made over the years and that they will obtain most of the energy used in steel production from solar energy.

Stating that they plan to increase their solar electricity production capacity by 10 times with a strategic decision taken last year, Tosyalı emphasized that this increase will be used in steel production.

Fuat Tosyalı also touched upon new investment areas and announced that they plan to increase their capacity in Algeria to 8 million tons and will focus on flat steel production in Saudi Arabia.

Emphasizing that they are moving towards an important structure for electric car production, Tosyalı stated that they are counting the days until the opening of the BWC Power Motor factory in Ankara.

Tosyalı stated that they increased the liquid steel capacity in Turkey to 6 million tons and aimed for a turnover of over 7 billion dollars by the end of this year, and their determination to ensure sustainability in the steel industry.
