While the average capacity of the largest steel mills in India is currently known to be 20 mt/year, crude steel production for the last fiscal year was recorded at 18.3 mt.
The company, which wants to expand its sales volume in line with its production capacities, aims to increase its steel sales by 15% to 18.7 million metric tonnes in fiscal 2023-24.
Market analysts estimate that the export-oriented company will increase the price of its products by USD 30 per metric tonne in order to meet the investments made.
