According to data released by the World Steel Association (Worldsteel), South Korea's crude steel production in September remained stable compared to the previous month, and increased by 1.3% compared to the same month last year, reaching 5.5 million tons.
In January-September 2024, South Korea's total crude steel production decreased by 4.6% compared to the same period last year, falling to 48.1 million tons.
South Korea maintained its 6th place in the world rankings with its crude steel production. However, the country's crude steel production has been stable at 5.5 million tons per month since July.
