Based on a complaint filed by Hyundai Steel, the country's second largest steelmaker, in December 2024, the South Korean Trade Commission (MOTIE) will officially launch the investigation on March 4.
Hyundai Steel stated that HRC imported from China and Japan is sold at 10-30% lower prices in the local market compared to POSCO and its own products, which harms domestic producers. The scope of the investigation and the preliminary anti-dumping margin will be finalized after the investigations are completed.
