The Korea Trade Commission (KTC) has announced the imposition of a preliminary anti-dumping (AD) duty on cold-rolled stainless steel products imported from Vietnam. The duty rates vary from 3.66% to 11.37% depending on the company. YongJin Metal Technology (Vietnam) will be subject to a 3.66% duty, and TVL Joint Stock Company and TVL Steel Production and Construction Joint Stock Company will be subject to an 11.37% duty. The rate for other suppliers is set at 4.79%.
The anti-dumping measure covers all grades, shapes, widths, lengths, and thicknesses of cold-rolled stainless steel products. The examined products are classified with the following HS Codes:
7219.31.1010, 7219.31.1090, 7219.31.9000, 7219.32.1010, 7219.32.1090, 7219.32.9000, 7219.33.1010, 7219.33.1090, 7219.33.9000, 7219.34.1010, 7219.34.1090, 7219.34.9000, 7219.35.1010, 7219.35.1090, 7219.35.9000, 7219.90.1010, 7219.90.1090, 7219.90.9000, 7220.20.1010, 7220.20.1090, 7220.20.9000, 7220.90.1010, 7220.90.1090 and 7220.90.9000.
The investigation into potential injury covers the period from January 1, 2021, to December 31, 2023, while the dumping investigation specifically focuses on activities from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023. This investigation was initiated in May of this year upon the application made by POSCO.
