Companies reported a slightly more optimistic attitude towards their past and future activities.
However, compared with July, more companies consider the development of the market and their companies to be unpredictable due to the current economic uncertainty.
In August, slightly more building contractors than in July indicated that their order books were higher than usual and reported 8.3 months of work. Production capacity continued to decline last month, with slightly fewer construction firms reporting slowing production due to supply difficulties than in July. 24% of construction companies believe that they will not be able to increase production if additional orders come in due to staff shortages and supply difficulties.
Fewer companies announced in August that they would increase their prices in the next three months.
