Turkish Statistical Institute announced the service, retail trade and construction confidence indices for March.
Accordingly, the seasonally adjusted confidence index increased by 1.5 percent in the service sector on a monthly basis in March, reaching 120.4. The index decreased by 3.6 percent in the construction sector to 88.6, and in the retail trade sector it decreased by 1 percent to 113.3.
In the service sector, compared to the previous month in March, the business situation increased by 0.4 percent in the last three months, the demand for services increased by 1.9 percent in the last three months, and the demand expectation for services in the next three months increased by 2.2 percent.
In the retail trade sector, the current goods stock level increased by 1.1 percent. Business volume-sales decreased by 0.8 percent in the last three months, and business volume-sales expectations in the next three months decreased by 2.8 percent.
In the construction sector, there was a 1.5 percent decrease in the current level of registered orders received and a 5.3 percent decrease in the expectation of the total number of employees in the next three months.
