SteelRadar's data compiled by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) showed that Türkiye's scrap imports in February increased by 32.4% compared to the same month of the previous year, increasing from 1,228,153 tons to 1,625,081 tons. Compared to the previous month, January, it decreased by 12.3%. In January, this figure was 1,852,885 tons.
In January, Türkiye imported most of its imports from EU countries. Imports from EU countries increased by 53.8%. EU countries were followed by the US with 35% decrease, the UK with 267.8% increase, Israel with 20.3% increase and Venezuela with 17% increase.
