In 2023, Norway increased its scrap imports among European Union countries by 20.67% compared to 2022, importing 452,799 tons of scrap during the year.

In 2021, 19,431,390 tons of scrap were exported across the EU and Norway ranked 10th in the list, importing 298,719 tons of scrap, but in 2022, it was noted that Norway increased the number of imports and imported 375,224 tons of scrap, rising to 8th place in the EU.
It was also recorded that a total of 18,900,687 tons of scrap was exported across the EU, with an increase of 7.20%, while Norway ranked 7th in this list, importing 452,799 tons of scrap. While it is curious to see how Norway will follow its scrap imports in 2024, it is also expected to continue to rise in the EU scrap export list.
