Price offers are rising in the Turkish iron and steel market.

Scrap, billet and rebar prices rise in Türkiye

Türkiye's imported scrap prices have been raised on the back of a new EU deal. The one-day price assessment for HMS 1&2 (80:20) from the US East Coast rose to $367/ton CFR Turkey on August 14, compared to $357/ton CFR a day earlier.

Imported billet prices for Türkiye were $10-15 higher at $480-490/ton CFR, compared to $475/ton CFR a week ago. Around 3,000 tons of billets were sold at $495/ton CIF, while semis for immediate shipment from Russia were offered at $500/ton CFR.

Türkiye's rebar export prices increased by $10-15/ton to $570/ton FOB for September shipments. However, demand remains weak.

Local prices at Türkiye's steel mills rose by $15-20 to $580, while spot rebar prices are trading between 18,700-18,900tl / $576-582.
