Saudi Industry Minister Bandar Alkhorayef Holds High-Level Meetings in India
Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Alkhorayef, held high-level meetings in India as part of his official visit. Discussions in New Delhi focused on strengthening cooperation in key sectors, including iron and steel, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, heavy industry, and automotive manufacturing.
Investment and Industrial Collaboration Discussed
Alkhorayef met with India’s Minister of Industry and Commerce, Shri Piyush Goyal, to explore investment opportunities and industrial partnerships. The discussions highlighted Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 strategy, which aims to position the country as a global leader in industry and mining. Significant cooperation potential was emphasized, particularly in machinery, spare parts, and heavy industries.
Strong Indian Interest in Magnesium Ore Supply
The Saudi minister also held meetings with India’s Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Jagat Prakash Nadda, and Minister of Heavy Industries, H.D. Kumaraswamy. These discussions covered joint projects in petrochemicals, fertilizers, and pharmaceuticals. The Indian side expressed strong interest in participating in Saudi Arabia’s magnesium ore extraction projects, exploring opportunities for supplying this raw material to the iron and steel industry.
Saudi International Iron and Steel Conference on the Agenda
One of the key topics discussed was the Saudi International Iron and Steel Conference, which Saudi Arabia will host. The event is expected to enhance economic ties between the two countries and strengthen industrial cooperation.
