Samail Industrial City in Oman has seen significant growth in 2023, with 24 new projects attracted and localized, bringing the total number of projects to 157. The sprawling industrial complex spans over 11 million sqm and hosts projects covering an area of 2.2 million sqm.
Engineer Yasser bin Ibrahim Al Ajmi, Director General of Samail Industrial City, highlighted the city's commitment to implementing pivotal projects, such as a water connection project with Oman Water and Wastewater Services Company. The city also has an investment opportunity for developing a residential city. The city's strategic sectoral division demonstrates its commitment to facilitating industry-specific growth, with sectors like food, logistics, construction materials, steel and wood, plastic and paper, marble, and SMEs showing promising occupancy rates. Occupancy rates in the construction materials sector stand at over 26%, with remarkable demand observed in the steel and wood sector, boasting an occupancy rate exceeding 60%.
