A memorandum of understanding (MOU) has been signed between automotive industry supplier Wagon Automotive Nagold GmbH and Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH. The agreement stipulates that Wagon Automotive will use Salzgitter's low carbon emission steel products produced by the SALCOS® process to manufacture complex body modules.
The Salzgitter Group aims to achieve virtually CO2-free production with effect from 2033 by gradually moving from conventional production to hydrogen-based processes. Wagon Automotive has a long-term partnership with Salzgitter Flachstahl and their cooperation will cover both direct sales and resale programmes.
