TVEL, the fuel company of the Russian State Atomic Energy Agency Rosatom, has established a business integrator company for the metallurgical business. Rusatom Metal Tech LLC was founded on the basis of 'Nanoelectro', a TVEL subsidiary. The integrator company will consolidate and develop the expertise of the various nuclear enterprises involved in the non-nuclear metallurgy sectors. The facilities of Chepetsky Mechanical, a modern, full-cycle plant covering operations from hydrometallurgy to the rolling mill, produce a wide range of high-melt and light metals and their alloys. Rusatom Metal Tech will also coordinate the development and commercialization of metallurgical products, combining the expertise of companies such as Elemash Machine-Building Plant, Novosibirsk Chemical Concentrate Plant, Elemash Magnit, Centrotech and Bochvar Institute, all of which are subsidiaries of the fuel company TVEL.
The company's primary product line is titanium bars, wires and tubes applied in high-tech fields such as shipbuilding, aerospace, and medicine, as well as calcium metal, calcium solid wire, zirconium, niobium, tantalum, hafnium, tungsten, vanadium, wind energy equipment. TVEL facilities have already completed contracts for the supply of various titanium products, and new new ones for the supply of compact storage racks for nuclear power plants. has signed contracts and has developed tantalum and hafnium products and new models of calcium solid wire. In cooperation with German Hermith GmbH, tube assemblies and additive manufacturing wire production export-oriented projects and implant production for osteosynthesis continue.
