In January 2024, rolled metal production in Zaporizhtal increased 2.6 times compared to the same period last year. This increase is due to the removal of blast furnace No. 2 from the hot storage mode.
In January 2024, the Zaporizhstal plant produced 261 thousand tons of pig iron and 235.5 thousand tons of steel, while shipments of rolled products amounted to 196 thousand tons.
The plant also reported that in 2023 it operated at an average capacity of 70%. At the same time, the Zaporizhstal plant produced 2.7 million tons of pig iron, 2.5 million tons of steel and shipped more than 2 million tons of rolled products in 2023.
