European Statistical Office (Eurostat) have published the seasonally adjusted data for production in construction sector of the the European Union (EU) and the Eurozone in August.
Accordingly, production in the 19 Eurozone members decreased by 0.6% in August compared to July; and 2.3% compared to August 2021.
In the EU, on the other hand, while it decreased by 0.4% in August compared to the previous month, it increased by 2.8% compared to the same period of 2021.
Compared to the previous month, the highest increase in August production among EU countries was measured in Romania with 2.5%, Portugal with 2.3% and Austria with 2%. The highest decrease was determined in Hungary with 4.4%, the Netherlands with 3.7% and Germany with 2.1%.
