POSCO, unveiled its strategy to amplify their annual steel production capacity

POSCO, recently unveiled its ambitious strategy to amplify their annual steel production capacity to a staggering 52 million tons by the year 2030. This formidable undertaking demonstrates their unwavering commitment to further solidify their presence in the global steel industry.

This ambitious target underscores their resolute determination to fortify their global standing within the steel industry. Furthermore, POSCO aims to generate annual sales revenue of KRW 100 trillion ($79.05 billion) through the amplified production. In addition, they have set a noteworthy goal of tripling their operating profit by 2030, surpassing the achievements of 2022.

In line with its commitment to sustainability and innovation, POSCO is placing a strong emphasis on developing a high value-added and environmentally friendly product portfolio. As part of this initiative, the company's Guangyang Steel Plant is set to commence the construction of an electric arc furnace (EAF) in 2026. This strategic  aligns with POSCO's ambitious goal of reducing carbon emissions by 2030 while also contributing to the production of 10 million tonnes of low-carbon products.
