POSCO, one of South Korea's leading companies, reported that it produced approximately 50 million tons of stainless steel on September 18. The company in question established its first stainless steel facility in March 1989.
On September 18, POSCO reached a cumulative stainless steel production of 50 million tons, which is equivalent to a length of 5.26 million kilometers of cold-rolled coils, enough to circle the earth 131 times. It took about five years to increase this production from 40 million tons to 50 million tons.
In addition, the company in question operates three stainless steel facilities with an annual production capacity of 2.1 million tons.
