It has been announced that the Polish Ministry of Industry has established a working group to target the national steel sector.The issues to be addressed in this context include providing support to the minister in the functioning of the steel sector, as well as assessing the challenges that the sector may face at the national and European level.
The objective will be to identify the legal regulations that need to be amended by presenting ideas based on the improvement of the sector. The targeted strategies will be presented to the minister and in case of approval, the group will be dissolved.
The working group will be chaired by Polish Industry Minister Marzena Czarnecka. The group will be composed of representatives from the Ministry of Climate and Environment, the Ministry of Development and Technology, the Polish Steel Association (HIPH), the Polish Transmission System Operator (PSE), the Polish Ministry of State assets and Marto Jarno, director of the Department of Mining and Metallurgy.
