Oman and Etihad Rail have established numerous commercial and investment collaborations with major global firms across diverse industrial and transformative domains.
Towards enhancing bilateral trade with Jindal Steel and Energy Company, the deal has been signed for the export of iron products from the port of Sohar to the thriving markets of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) via the Omani railway network. This strategic partnership aims to streamline the transportation of iron products, fostering economic cooperation and further strengthening ties between the two nations. The deal signifies a promising collaboration that stands to benefit both countries' economies while optimizing logistical operations.
The deal will allow Jindal to improve its supply chain efficiency through the UAE-Omani railway network's sustainable, rapid, and cost-effective services. With the capability to transport around 4 million tons of raw material, this capacity will significantly support the company's operations and its goal of reducing its carbon.
