November 2022 Turkey iron ore imports

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute, 350 thousand tons of iron ore were imported into the country in November last year (-66.3% m/m, -62.5% y/y). In monetary terms, imports amounted $39.96 million (-72.8% m/m, -73% y/yr).

The main countries supplying iron ore to Turkey in November 2022:
Brazil - 323 thousand tons (-20% per annum);
Russia - 27.2 thousand tons (-73% per annum).
During the 11 months of 2022, Turkey imported a total of 8.88 million tons of iron ore (-11.6% y-o-y). In material terms, imports amounted to $ 1.34 billion (-28.4% y-o-y).

January November 2022 the main countries that supply iron ore to Turkey:

Brazil - 3,839 million tons (-24.4% y-o-y);
Sweden - 1.484 million tons (+6% y-o-y);
South Africa - 1.365 million tons (+167% y-o-y);
Ukraine - 585,2 thousand tons (-49% per annum);
Russia - 552.6 thousand tons (-55% per annum).
