Norsk Hydro increased production of bauxite, alumina and primary aluminum

In the second quarter of this year, bauxite production increased by 14% compared to the same period of the previous year, amounting to approximately 2.66 million tons.

Alumina production rose 10% year-on-year to approximately 1.59 million tonnes, while primary aluminum production reached approximately 560,000 tonnes, up 10% y-o-y.

In the first half of this year, Norsk Hydro's bauxite production saw approximately 5.47 million tons, up 11% compared to the same period in 2022. Alumina production amounted to 3.13 million tons with an increase of 5% compared to the same period in 2022. Primary aluminum production reached 1.1 million tons, up 6.1% y-o-y.
