NMDC Steel successfully completes HRC trial production

NMDC Steel Limited started trial production of hot-rolled coils at its rolling mill on June 30, 2023. NMDC Steel teamed up with MECON and Danieli in charging 70mm semi-rolled plates sourced from Rourkela Steel Plant during the trial operation.

This trial run was followed by ghost rolling and other synchronization activities on June 29, 2023, and hot slabs were finally successfully rolled out from the tunnel furnace on June 30, 2023.

After the hot strip mill, supplied by Danieli, is stabilized, it will be able to produce approximately 2.89 million tons of coils, sheets, and plates in different grades.
