Nippon Steel extends contract with Brunei Shell Petroleum

Japanese companies Nippon Steel Corporation and Sumitomo Corporation extended their contracts with Brunei Shell Petroleum Company for another 10 years.

Nippon Steel extends contract with Brunei Shell Petroleum

The renewed contract focuses on the supply of oil country tubular products (OCTG) and includes local threading services and supply chain management.

More than half a century of cooperation has been vital in the uninterrupted supply of OCTG to Brunei Shell Petroleum, a major player in the region's oil and gas production. This extension is attributed to the success of its total solutions combining high-quality product delivery and just-in-time supply chain management.

This partnership not only contributes to Brunei's economic development, but also provides a stable energy supply to Japan and other Asian countries amid global energy security concerns.

Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Corporation aim to play an important role in realizing a sustainable energy future as the world transitions to a carbon-neutral society.
