Nikunji Turakhi "Investment Plans for the Steel Industry in 2023 will not be Constructive"

Participating in the Global Steel Summit panel, Argus Media Editor Katya Ourakova asked Nikunji Turakhia, President of Sufi Steel, important questions about the current situation in the steel industry.

In response to Ourakova's question about the 70-73% capacity of Türkiye and Europe and the process of solving demand problems, Nikunji Turakhia, President of the Federation of Steel Users of India, provided an overview of the Indian steel sector for 2023. Turakhia said that the diversion of investments into production, production plans and focus on energy development are affecting demand and supply ratios.

To Ourakova's question "Will these plans be constructive?" Turakhia's answer "No" highlights the challenges and uncertainties in the industry. The head of Sufi Steel pointed out that future plans may not be constructive, pointing to the problems facing the industry.
