According to data from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Company (TEİAŞ), 1 million 16 thousand 62 megawatt-hours of electricity was produced and 1 million 25 thousand 573 megawatt-hours of electricity was consumed daily on June 29 in Türkiye.
The highest electricity consumption on the same day was recorded at 15:00 with 47 thousand 573 megawatt hours and the lowest consumption was recorded at 06:00 with 35 thousand 233 megawatt hours.
On daily basis, 1 million 16 thousand 62 megawatt hours of electricity was generated on June 29, while consumption was recorded as 1 million 25 thousand 573 megawatt hours. The wind power plants took the first place in production with a share of 22.5 percent. Imported coal and lignite power plants followed with 20.2 percent and 13.7 percent, correspondingly.
Production of 228 thousand 604 megawatt-hours of electricity from wind energy recorded on June 29 was a new peak after the previous record of 218 thousand megawatt-hours was broken on January 7.
On June 29, Türkiye exported 6,981 megawatt-hours of electricity and imported 16,492 megawatt-hours of electricity.
