Minister of Labour and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan announced that the wage was determined with the consensus of the parties. Public support for the minimum wage was also increased from 400 TL to 500 TL.
The interim increase rate for the minimum wage has been determined. As of 1 July, the minimum wage was determined as 11 thousand 402 TL net with an increase of 34 percent.
The parties came together for the third time for an interim increase in the minimum wage. The meeting of the Minimum Wage Determination Commission to determine the interim increase rate for the minimum wage started at 11:00.
Minister of Labour and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan, TÜRK-İŞ President Ergün Atalay and Turkish Confederation of Employers' Associations (TİSK) Chairman Özgür Burak Akkol appeared before the cameras to share the commission's decision on the interim increase in the minimum wage with the public.
