Borusan Mannesman, one of Turkey's leading welded pipe manufacturers, plans to increase the capacity of the Borusan Mannesman Boru plant in Texas, USA.
Currently, the enterprise is capable of producing up to 300 thousand tons of oil and gas pipes (OCTG) per year. However, the company considers it necessary to complete the range of the plant with general purpose welded pipes used especially in the construction industry.
The company plans to dismantle one of the existing 100 thousand tons/year capacity pipe welding lines in its operation in Turkey, modernize its equipment and transport it to the United States for installation at the Borusan Mannesman Boru factory.
The cost of implementing this project is estimated at about $ 50 million, and the updated line is scheduled to reopen in the United States in 2023.
