Türkiye has filled many of its steel import quotas within the first week of the new quota period set by the European Commission, which runs from July 1 to September 30. While Türkiye quickly fulfilled quotas for 4 products, India filled quotas for 3 products, and China filled the quota for 1 product.
In the new quota period, Türkiye fully utilized the wire rod quota with a starting quota of 119.010 tons, the railway materials quota of 1.573 tons, the hollow sections quota of 99.461 tons, and the large welded pipes quota of 15.095 tons.
Among other countries, India fully utilized the 4A metallic coated sheets quota of 54.225 tons, the organic-coated sheets quota of 79.455 tons, and the stainless bars and light sections quota of 32.082 tons. Meanwhile, China fully utilized the 4B metallic coated sheets quota of 126.629 tons.
