New era in EU quotas! Türkiye used some of its products at full capacity

According to SteelRadar's weekly EU quota assessment, EU quota fillings for 01.01.2025-31.03.2025 proceeded at a fast pace, while Türkiye realised full capacity utilisation in three product groups.

According to data obtained by SteelRadar from the European Commission, Türkiye has fully utilised its quota of 15,543 tons of organic coated sheets, 97,299 tons of hollow sections and 14,767 tons of tubes (wide seam).

The utilisation rates in other product groups are as follows: 24.9% of 21,057 tons of stainless hr quarto sheet quota, 86.9% of 116,423 tons of wire rod quota, 12.3% of 464,843 tons of HRC quota, 104. 811 tons of commercial bars and profiles, 26.7% of 1,539 tons of railway materials, 15.3% of 37,660 tons of unalloyed steel wire and 26.8% of 93,361 tons of rebar.

China comes out on top in full capacity utilisation

China stands out among other countries with full utilisation of 126,811 tons of 4b metallic coated sheets, 4,969 tons of stainless hr quarto sheet quota, 6,922 tons of sheet pile quota and 7,984 tonnes of pipe (other welded) quota.

Taiwan, with 45,523 tons of stainless hr quarto sheet quota, and India, with 31,384 tons of stainless bar and light section quota, achieved full capacity utilisation.
