New coking plant launched in Indonesia

Risun Wei Shan Indonesia, the Indonesian subsidiary of the Chinese firm Risun Group, has established a new coking plant.

Risun Wei Shan Indonesia, the Indonesian subsidiary of Chinese company Risun Group, announced that its newly established coking plant has started production. The new coking plant is located in Indonesia's Morowali Industrial Park (IMIP).

It is stated that the factory is equipped with six coke batteries with a height of 7 m and a capacity of 800 thousand tons per year, and four batteries will be commissioned by the end of 2023. The remaining two batteries are scheduled to be commissioned in 2024.

It is said that its operating capacity will reach 5 million tons per year, making it the largest coke producer in Indonesia. It will also be the largest coke plant built by Chinese companies abroad.

Tsinghan, Delong, Shagang, Nangjing Steel and Zhongwei Group stand out among the shareholders of the project with a cost of 850 million dollars.
