According to the data released by Nord Stream AG, Nord Stream's executive company, no natural gas shipments are planned to be made through the pipeline between 31 August and 2 September.
Gazprom announced on 19 August that natural gas flow will be stopped for three days as of 31 August due to maintenance on the single compressor unit operating on the Nord Stream line.
Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitriy Peskov said in a statement today that natural gas shipments have stopped due to sanctions, and citizens have to pay a lot of money due to the steps taken by European politicians.
Gazprom had reduced the amount of natural gas sent through the pipeline by about 80 percent, on the grounds that the various parts used in the pipeline could not be maintained due to sanctions.
