The maximum figure was recorded on November 14, when 2,883 tons of rolled products were produced at continuous hot-dip galvanizing units No. 1 and 2. This is a record daily volume of total production produced at the capacities of these units since their launch. Currently, the plant’s capacity for the production of galvanized products is fully utilized, and the output of these products at the Magnitogorsk site is approximately 30% higher than last year.
Over the past 20 years, PJSC MMK has been consistently working to increase the output of high-margin products of further processing with high added value, which includes galvanized steel. Thus, in 2002 and 2008, the plant put into operation two high-performance continuous hot-dip galvanizing units with a capacity of 500 thousand tons and 450 thousand tons. In 2012, the second stage of the new cold rolling complex came into operation, which also includes an ANGC and a combined continuous annealing/hot-dip galvanizing unit. In July 2017, the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works commissioned continuous hot-dip galvanizing unit No. 3 with a capacity of 360 thousand tons per year.
