In anticipation of high demand for hot rolled coil as a result of the earthquake in Turkey, the hot rolled coil production line at MMK Metalurji Steelworks started up again in early April.
The company's production, however, decreased as a result of unfavorable factors like lower-than-expected demand for hot rolled coil, a decline in demand prior to the elections, and low prices for imported inputs dominating the local market. As a result, the production line was again suspended.
Depending on the volume of orders, the timing of the restart will vary, but June is the most likely month for a complete return to production.
