President Hisarcıklıoğlu highlighted the success of Türkiye in international trade by expressing that "We are the country which exports to the most countries in the world".
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Rıfat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated, "What is our goal? The first goal is to write a great success story as the Turkish private sector and we continue to do so. We are the country which exports to the most countries in the world. Let's not underestimate it. There is America, there is China, there is so and so, whoever you can think of. This means that we produce high quality products and we have become competitive with the world in price competition."
In his speech, Hisarcıklıoğlu mentioned that after the local elections are over, TOBB and the business world will focus on the economy.
Recalling that there is a 4-year period without elections in front of the Turkish business world, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, "The periods when structural reforms are made are also periods without elections. This is because when structural reforms are made, it may hurt us a little bit at first, but afterwards it is enlightening."
Hisarcıklıoğlu explained that as TOBB, they aim to work together and bring Türkiye to the places it deserves, emphasizing that the biggest task of TOBB is to convey the problems of the chambers of commerce and industry of the provinces in Türkiye to the political will and to show the solutions, and noted that it is the job of the political power to determine whether to solve or not and how to take action.
Highlighting that Bursa has become Türkiye's leading city in the automotive sector, Hisarcıklıoğlu added: "All clustering happens spontaneously here. Your sub-industry has almost surpassed the main manufacturer in terms of exports. All parts for the world's automobiles are going from Bursa. It will make us proud. In the past, we couldn't even imagine these things, but today, the cars traveling around the world have Bursa's mark on them. Bursa, which is the production center of Türkiye in machinery and textiles, is rapidly progressing towards becoming the production center of high technology sectors. I would like to thank our president, his administration, his council, our general secretary and his entire staff for their visionary understanding."
President of BTSO İbrahim Burkay stated that the wars in Türkiye's close geography, the impediments in front of global trade and the tested high inflation environment increased the burden on the shoulders of the real sector day by day.
Burkay explained that high costs in production, stagnation in export markets and changing competitive conditions made the mobility of companies more and more difficult day by day, "However, economic policies have moved to a rational ground since the second half of last year. The government has started to establish a much stronger and healthier communication with our business world. At the point we have reached, the continuation of the fight against inflation with determination, the establishment of price stability and financial stability, and ensuring macroeconomic predictability are among our priority expectations in this period."
