MIDHCO begins production of magnesium billet

Ferosilis Gharbe Pars Company, one of the subsidiary companies of Midhco, launched the production of magnesium billet in the city of Hamedan, Iran.

Recognized as one of the magnesium billet alkaline earth metals, it is the eighth most abundant metal in the earth's crust. Magnesium billet, which is not produced in the Middle East, was produced for the first time in Iran. For the production of magnesium billet, it is necessary to have enough dolomite in the right grade and ferrosilicate, which is the most important part of the production. Midhco company, which provides this production, also joined the magnesium billet exporters group in the world. The duration of the project is approximately 33 months, and 140 people were employed in this project. Midhco plans to reach 6,000 tons of magnesium billet production capacity in 2023.

In general, the usage areas of magnesium billet are in industries such as agriculture and automobile manufacturing, Foundry industries, For example: Aluminum Wheel Automotive Equipment, pistons, engines and casting related parts.
