As highlighted by José de Jesús Rodríguez Cárdenas, president of the National Chamber of Commerce, Services, and Tourism of Mexico City (Canaco CDMX), this achievement underscores a significant shift in the factors driving Mexico's export growth, moving away from reliance on favorable exchange rates to focusing on the quality of goods and skilled labor.
Despite the exchange rate fluctuation between 16 and 17 pesos per dollar during the month, these factors did not primarily drive the export performance. Rodríguez Cárdenas pointed out that the skilled workforce and high-quality products were more influential in achieving these export figures.
This level of exports marks Mexico as a major supplier to the United States, accounting for 15.9% of all US purchases.
