In a written statement made by Government Spokesperson Steffen Hebestreit, it was stated that Chancellor Scholz held a video conference with French President Macron, and the two leaders exchanged views on the current situation of European energy supply and energy prices.
It was stated that, in addition to possible measures at the European level, the French-German solidarity in the energy sector was also evaluated, and it was stated that Scholz and Macron mutually informed about the planned national steps and measures.
Chancellor Scholz also reportedly told Macron the contents of the German government's third aid package, which has just been negotiated.
