Ma Steel's Four Steel Rolling Mill achieved a significant breakthrough in converter steel production through a successful online trial, marking a groundbreaking step in integrating artificial intelligence into steel production processes.
The company successfully completed a full-scale trial of a new model called the "One-Key Precision Control Model." This model managed to automate a series of key processes, including converter smelting, considered a significant advancement towards Ma Steel's smart steel production.
As part of Baowu Steel's strategic plan, Ma Steel initiated a year-long research project to integrate artificial intelligence into steel production processes. At the end of this process, a series of developments were achieved where various key processes in steel production became automated. Among these advancements is the "One-Key Precision Control Model" designed for full-cycle converter smelting.
The development of this model was a collaborative effort between Ma Steel's Operations Improvement Department and the Steel Production Intelligence Team. The team overcame various technical challenges through close coordination between production, equipment, and automation technologies. The "One-Key Precision Control Model" relies on innovative features such as real-time video links, AI-assisted recognition, temperature-based steel slag detection, and "Cloud data three-dimensional modeling + triple integration + artificial intelligence recognition." Several patent applications were filed based on these innovations.
Internally developed, the full-cycle one-key smelting project focused on smart control and independent development in converter smelting processes. The "One-Key" model intelligently controls the entire converter production process, from blowing to argon station purification. This model, in alignment with modernization goals, ensures stable and precise control throughout the process. The "One-Key Precision Control Model" significantly enhances efficiency, reduces costs, and improves the quality of the first molten steel in the converter process, making a substantial contribution to the company's technological innovation and smart steel production goals.
