Lloyds Metals and Energy Limited (LMEL), the Indian direct reduced iron (DRI) producer and Maharashtra's largest commercial iron ore miner, has successfully established and commissioned a DRI production plant in Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra.
The facility has a nominal capacity of 70,000 tonnes per annum and is equipped with a 4MW Waste Heat Recovery Boiler (WHRB) based power plant.
The project is said to have been completed in just 13 months after obtaining Environmental Clearance from the Maharashtra State Environmental Impact Assessment Authority.
